Provincial Grand Conclave
The Order of the Secret Monitor came to the Channel Islands in 1992 when some 50 brethren where Inducted into the Order by the Charles Edward Keyser Conclave No 105
The Secret Monitor Province of the Channel Islands comprises three conclaves, each meeting twice a year. Two Conclaves meet in Jersey and one in Guernsey.
The oldest conclave is Fidèle Amiêtchi Conclave No 384 consecrated in 1994. The Name “Fidèle Amiêtchi” is Jersey French for “Faithful Friendship” and upon it’s Consecration it boasted no less than 48 Founders. Fidèle Amiêtchi Conclave meets on 2nd Thursday in March and the 4th Thursday in September.
The second Conclave Consecrated was the Harold Manners
Conclave No 402 and this only a year later, on the 19th June 1995. So named after Harold Manners, a Yorkshire Mason who had settled in Jersey but was a Secret Monitor for many years and was a great guiding light in the establishment of the Order in Jersey. The Harold Manners Conclave meets on 2nd Wednesday in June and 2nd Thursday in December.
The third Conclave, Le Marchant No 421, was Consecrated on 15th March 1997 in Guernsey. Named after the Masonic Temple in St Peter Port Guernsey, which had housed most of the Masonic bodies for many years. Le Marchant meets on 1st Wednesday in June and 3rd Thursday in December.
The Provincial meeting is normally held once a year in April and alternates between Guernsey and Jersey. All Princes (2nd degree) are welcome to attend.
